Finch em seu texto - "Where are we? Where are we going? - cita Dickinson: "Promotion of learner autonomy thus requires a change in beliefs about language learning on the part of both learner and teacher, as well as corresponding change in roles, and learners and teachers may need preparation (if not expicit training) to undartake self-instruction".

Concordo com Dickinson e acrescento ainda que muitas destas crenças são "transmitidas" aos alunos por nós professores. Acho que muitos de nós ainda não sabemos definir quais são estas crenças e como fazer para sanar o problema. A propósito alguém conhece uma bibliografia que trate do assunto?
