Shaking his head, he let out a soft breath and closed his eyes, just holding her close and letting her cry. "And I want to sit in front of a fire, holding ye while ye nurse our baby and I want ye to recooperate from birth in a big bed with lots of pillows and blankets where I can stretch out and lay beside ye. I want to feel our bairn kicking inside yer womb while he grows and matures inside ye." He whispered gently against her ear, running his hand over her back slowly. "I want to nay have to worry about the nest nor the warmth of the eggs, I want to be able to focus on ye and our precious little bairn. Tis what I want, Evie." His voice was a calming, soothing murmur the entire time he spoke, his eyes closed as he swayed gently with her. Closing his eyes, he just hugged her tighter and let out a soft breath, thinking that he needed to discuss all this with his brother and convince him to give over the jeweled necklace that had called to Dane nearly as much as Bree had. The lass still joked that Dane had really wanted the necklace and just picked Bree up along with it by accident. Perhaps he would tell his brother it would be payment for his taking care of Bree during her pregnancy, he couldn't deny him then. It would be his mates welfare on the line. Of course, everyone knew that Durgan would never deny his sister in law care so it would be a weak threat but still, it would prove how much he wanted that necklace. He would give it back once he was sure that Evie was safe and in no rish from her own body trying to shift when it wasn't able too.
