Help, we are having a big Christmas party here on Saturday for DH's extended family. Probably around 24 people. I am making pierogies, but I just got 3 new crock pots for my wedding and wanted to do something else in a crock pot. Anyone have any good ideas besides meatballs in red sauce? If you have a good meatball recipe that is not in tomato sauce or anything else good for a crock pot, please share!! (NT)Anonymous11:02:46 12/07/06 Thu

Meatball recipe. 2 bottles of Heinz Chili sauce, 1 med size jar grape jelly. Mix together in crock pot, put in frozen meatballs and let it cook!! Awesome sauce!!!!!! (NT)Anonymous11:30:21 12/07/06 Thu

The easiest but tasty punch - mix Hawaiian punch with 7-up, then float some rainbow sherbet on top. - Honey Bee (NT)Anonymous16:09:06 12/07/06 Thu

For the crock pot - I have found that just about anything will cool well. I use any kind of cream soup (love Cheddar Cheese or Roasted Garlic and mushroom)as a base for a sauce/gravy, add things like ketchup, worsteshire sauce, dried onion soup mix, etc, then pour over meat and veggies and cook on low till done. Lil' Smokies! I put 2 packages of little cocktail weiners in the crockpot and add 3/4 bottle of honey BBQ sauce, The men love these!!! (NT)Anonymous23:46:33 12/07/06 Thu

I tried the fudge with chocolate frosting instead of vanilla and mixed it with the pb it was awesome. I even added marshmallows and nuts to a batch to make it rocky road yum!! ~~Cookie Lady (NT)Anonymous15:43:35 12/08/06 Fri

Bumpity Bump Bump so I can print some of these tomorrow at work! (NT)Anonymous19:34:21 12/20/06 Wed

Monkey Bread! I make it every Christmas morning. spray non stick spray on a bundt pan, open 4 packs of refigerator biscuits (the tube ones that 'pop' open) add 2 tbls spoons cinnamon to 1 cup sugar. tear each biscuit into 1/4ths, roll each piece in the cinn'sugar and place equally around bundt pan. In the microwave, melt 1 stick butter with 1/2 cup of sugar and 2 tablesps cinn. pour into bundt pan. bake at 350 for 30 minutes. let cool, invert in plate, add pecans if desired. called monkey bread cuz' every one pulls chunks off, LOL takes like an expensive coffee cake and looks gorgeous. ~Lainey (NT)Anonymous20:15:06 12/21/06 Thu

Hi everybody! Question for whomever posted the kettle corn receipe = do you just throw all ingrediants in the crock pot and give it the occasional stir? Do you set it on hi or low, or does it not matter? TIA - Honey Bee (NT)Anonymous20:45:46 12/22/06 Fri

Ok, I made the chili sauce/jelly on sausages, beef broth/mushroom soup on meatballs, and kettle corn recipes, and they were ALL big successes, everybody just loved them! My personal favorite was the corn, I just loved that. Oh, and I can't forget the 1 minute fudge recipe! I didn't tell anybody that I "cheated" and they never knew! Love all these recipes girls!
