Subject: Jamaican me Crazy!

Anyone here been to Jamaica and can offer any ideas for touring around?

Hubster and I celebrated our 20th anniversary last week by selecting a vacation trip to a resort in the Ocho Rios area of Jamaica (we have a wonderful travel agent who found a fantastic place). We will be there for 6 days, and I know my hubby will want to get out and explore a bit.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!

"Hubster" is not my spouse's name but an American nickname for the word "Husband". We also use "Hubby" or "DH" (Dear Hubby). Especially online.

Some women online call their hubbies "Mr. ____" (fill in with their screen name). I could call my hubby "Mr. The Chief" ;-)

Anyway, I didn't know if you knew that.

[> [> [> Sorry. But believe me or not, I first thought it was what you've given me as explanation, but * again * my insecurities have won. :( for " Hubby " & " DH " I already was sure about them.Thank you for the explanation. :-)) -- Laurence, who should be more confident in herself :(, 09:08:48 09/04/12 Tue [1]

[> My DH and I climbed the falls at Ocho Rios when we were there. We thought it was fun, so you might want to look into that. Have fun on your trip and congratulations on your anniversary. -- Lee, 08:35:44 09/04/12 Tue [1]

[> My DH and I went there when we were both young and way better looking....LOL. That was in 1972. We had some fun (and scary) experiences, but I thought that Jamaica was simply beautiful. The snorkeling in Montego Bay has never been beaten. Stunning! And climbing up Dunns River Falls in Ocho Rios was wonderful. The food was great too. Everyone was slow moving, but we learnt to relax and get used to the pace. Oh read The White Witch of Rosehall while you are there, then go and see the house. Great atmosphere and provides some history. -- Cece (This was the home of Ian Flemming of James Bond fame.), 11:39:50 09/04/12 Tue [1]

[> A close friend went and loved it. However, he did say to notgo off the beaten path because it can be VERY dangerous. Stick with the crowd and have others around you. Enjoy your fun and leisure...Belated Happy Anniversary wishes to you both. -- jenks, 03:51:22 09/05/12 Wed [1]
