Guess its finally dawning on me that my house sold within three days of being listed! Was expecting it would take a little longer and have had to really turn up the burners. .....and I have found out that with my cell provider I wont have service...so I have added skype to my phone can use it via wifi connections as a cell or by internet.

So if any of our Brit friends want to meet up please email me at codedriver@aol.com.....I can check email that way too. Same goes for my skype name if anyone wants it. I will on my own Friday and Saturday as my traveling companions are leaving Thursday and Friday.

I want to say thanks to all who posted on my orignal post as I have looked up and found several things that I want to do.

On a side note, I reread the virtual season last month before the web site went away and after rereading mine I will have to take pictures to add some visual reference to my 2 stories. Plus I will have to add to my London Harmyboard suitcase I won at the last JAG meet. Hard to believe that it was 7 years ago.

My oldest baby girl graduated last night. Hard to beleive that in less than a month she turned 18 then graduated high school.
I'm happy but my heart is sad at the same time. You know they tell you to treasure the little moments cause they are gone too soon. Its true. Seems like just yesterday she was sneaking into my lipstick then denying it all the while having it smeared from knees to forehead. Skinning her knees on her tricycle and claiming to anyone who would listen that Luke Skywalker was her best friend.
I'm exicted to see what comes next for her but I hate to see her go away. Cant imagine not seeing her face everyday.
*sigh* i'm gonna miss my bestest friend.

Yes I do have 2 younger daughters but Paige is my first and I think thats hardest.

My SIL, Carol has another Gist(type of cancer) on her stomach. They removed it Thursday night and there were a few complications. She had one removed Sept. 6. and has not fully recovered from that one and now this one. We are waiting for the results to see if it is beneign or Malignant. Would you all please pray for her.         It's basically a one-piece that also has a skirt on it. Some of them look like a real dresses, just shorter. Google it and you will see several examples. They're great for concealing big butts, saddlebags, etc. (NT) -- JAG Junkie (Ronda), 11:19:13 05/06/12 Sun
        
        Interesting. I see their use walking along the beach- but can you really swim in them? Especially the longer ones, doesn�t the skirt part just sort of float around you when swimming? First, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all of the prayers and good wishes posted on this board.
I was feeling so down and defeated, that I really had no words, when judi offered to post for me. (God bless you judi)

Now for the update, I am cancer free. Even now, I'm so stunned, I still cant believe this miracle in my life.

In March, 6 weeks after my surgery, after all the tumors and tissues they removed from my lungs, liver and diaphragm were tested and tested again, the tumors contained dead cells, though they had grown very large. The tissues removed, including lymph nodes, showed no active disease. My blood work is normal, the best it has looked in over 10 years.

My doc has no explaination, since the tumors continued to grow, even during my chemo. but I know he is very happy for me. He told me to tell whom ever had been praying for me, that those prayers paid off. I never expected this from an academic, he is a very respected oncologist at IU. Alot of these guys dont openly give God credit. Sooo, here I am, telling you all, that those prayers you breathed over your keyboard, those good thoughts on your way out to work, or any where, were heard.

I dont know why I'm still here, I'm not special, or why I've been spared, but I do intend to live my life, in a kinder more thoughtful way.During this fight there were times I wanted to swallow up as much much life as I could, thinking that if I ran faster, shopped more, traveled more and tried to put myself first, that I would live longer, but the only thing it did was leave me empty and no closer to peace. I guess I thought since I'd put my kids and my husband first most of my life, that it was my turn. I wanted everyone in my life to be perfect, to make things perfect for me, because I I thought, afterall, I didnt have much time, I thought they owed me that. I didnt realize this until now, I was laughing on the outside and crying on the inside and really, very angry and very very wrong.

Now, all I want to do is make a difference in this world, not necessarily anything profound, just and leave this world better than I found it. I'm still recovering, I had chemo from August to December, along with the surgery, so that takes awhile to recover from. I had secondary complications as a result of the surgery and chemo, which really scared me, but when the docs told me the results of my surgery, I felt perfetly willing to put up with anything, because at the end of the day, the cancer is gone!

Dont worry guys, I'm not going on a pilgrimage, (smile) but I know things are different now, I'm different. I just wanted to share my good news and I want to say that I'm thankful for all of you guys and I'm so glad you are my friends.

I've rambled, and I meant not to. Thank you all.

After all this time, JAG still pops up at the most interesting times. On this past Saturday I was ordering flowers for my Mother's funeral tomorrow. There were some questions to be answered and I was put on 'hold' where the 100 years song proceeded to play. Thought it most appropriate as I think that Mama was JAG's oldest fan at 94 years old. Needless to say, celebrating Easter hasn't been the best. I can say that my Mama is now at the Lord's feet and singing with the angels! That is the motto of a young woman (25 years old) in Pascagoula, MS (my hometown). Katie Blake and her brothers and sisters grew up with my children. Two years ago she dove into a creek and broke her spinal cord, she is now a quadrapedic. However that has not stopped her, as you can tell by her motto!

For those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, spring has arrived and for some of us, it will arrive with a burst of near record high temps. And of course, for those of you in the Southern Hemisphere, it's the beginning of autumn.

So what does the change of seasons mean to you? Do you have a different mental outlook? Any special indoor or outdoor plans (spring cleaning, autumn preparation for winter)?

Any family traditions that you follow this time of year? What was your favorite thing to do as a child when the March equinox arrived and the season changed? I remember that it was always a big childhood thrill to see the first robin in the spring.

Please remember pray for those who lost so much in the recent storms I live 15 miles from the touchdown in GA. Aside from debris blown in the yard by the wind our neighborhood was spared any damage, but it came so close to us that we see the damage when we're out running errands, and in knowing that our area was not the worst hit .... My stepmom passed thins morning from a 2 year bout with cancer. Her original diagnosis was stage 4 lung cancer with 8 months to live. The lung cancer went into remission about 15 months ago. It came back over the summer as brain cancer.

Dad is going thru the motions right now. The one bright note, my girls did get so see her last month while she was home and gave her 2 pieces of jewelry that they made. She was so excited to receive them.

mkim said I could post this. She had yet another surgery in Jan and is recovering very slowly. She's been fighting this for some years now. She was on chemo and then the surgery to remove tumors from her lung. She's home and on oxygen and can really use some cheering up.

So lets do what the HB does best which is giving support and love. Kim has been on the HB for many years and I've been fortunate to have met her twice. She's a really lovely lady and I know she'll beat this but it does take time. She's been through so much.

Sigh!
