Subject: Yes, jan, Windsor is still open for the public. It IS a lovely little town and worth the trip. Hampton Court is also really a cool place to visit -- this is where Henry VIII lived and held court. There are regular guided tours daily and gives one the total history of England in one place. The gardens are magnificnet and if you go on a Sunday, you can hear the Boys Choir sing at the morning service. It is also a beautiful village.
In reply to: jan 's message, "Take the train to Windsor, a pretty town and the gorgeous Windsor Castle. When I was there (years ago) the public could tour the castle. I'm not sure if it's currently open." on 19:41:35 02/09/12 Thu
