Subject: Those who do not have Opal as a gemstone are not supposed to wear it, according to legend. It's my birthstone, so I notice it, and always ask if it's the person's birthstone.
In reply to: Katiegirl 's message, "Maori believe that when you wear ponaumu (greenstone/jade), you may never buy it for yourself, it must always be a gift, and it must be blessed before you present it, or duing the presentation of it. Once you put it on, it shouldn't be removed as it becomes warm and houses part of your spirit." on 00:31:36 05/14/11 Sat
