Subject: Rugby Picks Week One

Welcome to the first week of Super Rugby. Each week I will give you five games to chose from. Good luck, Harm is raring and ready to go (probably because he's been watching training and pre-season games)

Blues vs Crusaders. The Blues have a lot of new blood and the Crusaders have just seen the memorial for one year on from the devastating earthquake. My pick would be the Crusaders, but the Blues might just surprise.

Brumbies vs Western Force. I would like the Brumbies to win because they come from the place I was born. The Western Force were underwhelming last year, but the Brumbies didn't live up to what they were capable of either. Anyone's game.

Bulls vs Sharks. Both these teams run pretty close. I would be hard pushed to pick a winner.

Waratahs vs Reds. Reds should be considered favourites for this game, they were the runners up in last years competition, but the Waratahs have some big name players and could easily upset.

Stormers vs Hurricanes. The Hurricanes are the only team this round to have travelled to another country. Here's hoping the flight from NZ to South Africa was early enough in the week for them not to suffer to badly from jet lag. I would love to see the Hurricanes win (they're my team), but again the Stormers are quite capable of pulling something out of the bag.

All games are played between Fri 24 and Sun 26 Feb (remember I am a day (well not quite) ahead of most of you so get your picks in early.
