It's all about position. Over the course of the next sixteen week we will be exploring different positions with Harm. This week the position is quarterback. He's the one with the ball. He uses his hands to make passes to willing receivers. Quarterbacks need to be good passers. Don't you think Harm would make a great quarterback?

Week Two

Game One starting the week off we have the Minnesota Vikings (0-1) take on the Chicago Bears (1-0) . Two mid-west teams playing while the grass is still green, instead of white (you know covered in snow)!

Game Two finds the Tennessee Titans (1-0) (formerly the Houston Oilers) facing the Houston Texans (1-0) . Guess you could say it "old" Houston against "new" Houston.

Game Three has the Denver Broncos (1-0) meeting the New York Giants (0-1) . Yes it's the Manning Bowl, brother against brother, Peyton vs Eli.

Game Four on Sunday night is the San Francisco 49ers (1-0) against the Seattle Seahawks (1-0) . This game could be for the bragging rights of the northwest.

Wow! In a city where Steelers football is KING, people are saying "Steelers, who?" This city has gone from being the Steelers Nation to the Pirates Nation. Of course, I have always been a fan, win or lose. It is just so much fun to see the city fall in love all over with baseball. Jolly Rogers are showing up all over the place. So, I am sorry for not participating in the football pool, but it is going to be baseball season for a long time in Pittsburgh. LET'S GO BUCS!

Harm's had a good 'pre season training camp'. Long runs on the beach, weight training, swimming and bike riding. His endurance levels are high, is stamina is strong. He's pumped and ready, so let's play!

Each week Harm and I will 'huddle' (check out the schedule) and 'call the play' (select four games). The 'play' (selected games) will be posted and you have until the kick off of the first game to post who you think will win each game. Each week the Harmy lady with the most wins 'scores' (gets Harm for the night). The rest of the players have to settle for 'a field goal' (time with Harm). Now is the time ladies, Harm's a waiting!

Week One

Game One Thursday, September 5th has the 2013 Super Bowl Champions, Baltimore Ravens take on the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium.

Game Two finds the Atlanta Falcons facing the New Orleans Saints in the Super Dome.

Game Three has the New York Giants and the Dallas Cowboys facing off at Cowboy Stadium in Dallas.

Game Four on Monday night is the Philadelphia Eagles against the Washington Redskins at FedEx field.

Hey everyone, I know that everyone is getting ready for football, BUT, have you heard that we have a baseball team here in Pittsburgh? Really, after 20 long years of losing, the Pittsburgh Pirates are in first place in the NL Central division and have THE best record in MLB. It is so exciting here that no ne really cares about the Steelers! I am just so thrilled. I love baseball, especially the Pirates...my Mini Cooper is Black and Gold, not for he Steelers but for the Pirates.

On the other side, I an boycotting football this year. I m so very tired of people in this it's putting the Steelers before anything else. During last season, I saw my church change therapy and omega of e children's Christmas pagent because the Steelers had a late game. No one came to the Pagent, even thought it was early to accommodate those people. Then, there is the fact that one of the Steelers wives delivered their first child at the hospital I work at. Or nursing staff was treated horribly, not by the family but by the doctors and management that HAD to take care of them.

S, the chant around here is LET'S GO BUCS! Playoffs, here we come!

SUPER BOWL results -- the rookie (aka usmgrad), 23:43:35 02/03/13 Sun [6]
It was The Game of Go from the first kick off to the last punt. The game had it all, brothers as head coaches (John and Jim Harbaugh), one ending up Odd Man Out; a "rookie" quarterback (49ners Kaepernick), wanting lots of Touchdowns; a record setting kick off return (108 yards), amazing nobody found his Blindside; and (this has Webb written all over it) a second half stadium blackout! But in the end we knew there could only be one Dream Team. And that team, Super Bowl XLVII Champions, are the Baltimore Ravens with the winning score of 34-31.

Well ladies this is it, the conference championship games. No more War Stories, it's time for some serious Souls Searching. Each team will need to posses a Second Sight as the final four teams meet on the field of battle , uh, play. When it's all over two teams will be saying their Goodbyes, while the other two be saying Yeah Baby going to the Super Bowl!

Because there are only two games this week you not only have to pick the winning teams but also the final score for each game. Example: Saints, 24-17 (oh how I wish) and Bills, 28-14 . This week's lucky lady will be the one with the correct winning teams and the closest scores.

NFC Championship game in Atlanta, GA

The San Francisco 49ers will meet the Atlanta Falcons . San Francisco's rookie quarterback has to shed his Innocence and come out fighting. But Atlanta can't sit back in Silent Service and expect to win.

AFC Championship game in Foxboro, MA

The Baltimore Ravens will be facing the New England Patriots . Don't look now but this is a repeat of last years AFC Championship game in which NE won. Wonder if the Ravens have some Dungaree Justice in the play book this year?
