Subject: Picks for Week Eight




Week eight, the mid point in the regular season. How are your preseason Super Bowl picks doing? I hate to say it but if you picked Miami, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Arizona, or Minnesota you might want to reconsider your picks, cause those teams aren't going anywhere this year! In week ten you'll have a chance to "revise" your Super Bowl picks or if you're new to the game make your Super Bowl picks. Of course if you revise and win with your new picks your prize won't be as good as if you stuck it out with your original preseason picks. It's your choice!


Getting picks this week was a challenge as Harm was a bit distracted with the World Series. Those tickets for Game Six really caused a stir in the Rabb household. Seems the family was split between rooting for the Rangers (Mac and #1 son) and the Cardinals (Harm and #1 daughter). Of course the two youngest Rabbs (#2 son and daughter) just wanted to know if they got to have peanuts and cracker jack at the game (like the song says). Anyhow I managed to get this weeks picks before everyone left for St. Louis.


Game One has the Detroit Lions (5-2) facing the Denver Broncos (2-4) . Detroit's injured quarterback , Stafford, hopes to play Sunday and ruin Tebow's home opener. Last time these two faced each other it was in SEC games, each with a win. Wonder what's going to happen this time?


Game two is Washington Redskins (3-3) visiting the Buffalo Bills (4-2) . Although Buffalo is the "home team" the game is being played in Toronto, Canada. Both teams have injuries, Buffalo had last week off to recoup, Washington didn't. Wonder who Canada will be rooting for?


Game three finds the New England Patriots (5-1) (be still my heart) take on the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2) Okay Pittsburgh fans, Tom Brady is 6-1 against your team. Is this the year you finally take him down?


And finally, on Monday, Halloween night Game four has the San Diego Chargers (4-2) against the Kansas City Chiefs (3-3) . Will it be a trick and treat night or is the grim reaper going to make an appearance?
