What a mess

So the witnesses in the hearing for Doug Taylor's job were sworn in and testified that the mayor basically bribed them to find dirt on the council members that did not agree with him. Isn't this a crime? If the mayor bribed someone to get dirt on other council members, how will he handle other city issues? Is this acceptable to those that voted for him? Will the prosecutor ignore the sworn testimony of the witnesses like he did the letter that Doug wrote? Is there anyway the state can step in and fix this mess?
