When we do the math- we find out there are some discrepancies in the marketplace for healthcare insurance.
If anyone younger than 30 currently has a healthcare policy- that price will go up because there are more preventative measures that you get "free" now. The cost of that is raising your insurance here about $15 per month on an individual plan for 2014.
If you go to the marketplace - that same or similar plan is higher priced. BUT many young people qualify for a government subsidy to bring the plan in line with what they paid before. NOW- who is making that extra money? The insurance company. Why? To offset insurance for the older population. Who pays for it? We all do- either in taxes or reduced wages etc.
Unless we print more money....
