It is questionable as to whether these particular people were doing their job- or abusing their positions.
And I would question the absolute expression above- for example- tyrants should be stopped. We don't have to look far to see how that works in other parts of the world or in past WW II history.
Disagreeing with someone is how change sometimes occurs. Humans are not perfect. Even judges and prosecutors make mistakes.
