The law says if your accepting property i.e. money in the form of a paycheck that you cannot just go do what you want......especially anything that is in not in the interest of the public agency that you serve and accept that paycheck. This line of reasoning that everyone else breaks the law too is the stupidest argument I have heard yet. Furthermore it is a form of intimidation to appear in a police uniform and be asking for votes. The rest of us that break the law have to pay the price, but when a clear violation is made by an officer of the law it's all of the sudden just lets say fuck it and sweep it under the rug. Plain bullshit. The law is the law period and it does apply to him!
