I hope they look at grants and tax exempt charities, particularly the ones elected are involved in (fire depts for instance). The IRS does not monitor enough or ask for enough documentation on charities. That's why everyone wants to be a charity these days. It's about more than only good intentions.
The YES home spent something like $16,000 for "travel" in the expense column on one of their disclosures. Did they spent all that on a vacation for the kids? It may be a legal expense but I am doubtful that this was spent on the kids, unless they took them somewhere mighty fancy. Am I the only one who thinks this seems a bit much, even added to transporting kids routinely? Or was this spent by the leaders?
