I don't normally post on here, but after reading these posts, I decided I would. I am not involved with the office. I am not involved with anyone running for office. With that said, I would like to add to this discussion.

It is very important that the incoming coroner and/or the staff of the incoming coroner have the certifications needed. If someone takes office and doesn�t hold the certifications needed, what happens to the cases between taking office and getting the certifications? I may be mistaken, but I thought that the certification course were only held at certain times of the year, so it isn�t like you can run out and get the certification tomorrow if you are elected today.

Completely changing the staff of the coroner�s office seems very risky on a lot of levels. Personally, I am voting for the person with the most experience. I don�t want to see things slip through the cracks with an inexperienced person in office. I am sure all of the candidates would do their best in office, but this isn�t an office to take lightly. This is an office that requires some experience. Being an EMT does not qualify you as a death investigator.
