Would every teacher want the responsibility of toting a gun? I Doubt it. As I mom, I wouldn't want kids in school with guns readily present in daily routine.
There's not much argument to support assault type weapons. TAX the Hell out of them. Regulate them to death. Make ammo prohibitively expensive and tax to the MAX.
How about requirement to wait and take a course before guns are purchased. A lot of weirdos might be "culled" from gun ownership or use.
I know most of us would hate to have to take a course, but everyone probably should unless they are military and maybe those too after stress from service.
