This article reflects ignorance and is reminiscent of the 60's. I think society and police should try to ignore pot smoking laws (in most cases).
These "experts" who have no personal experience expect others to respect their talk on the detrimental affects. It is downright unfortunate that they don't see their own shortcomings and lack of personal knowledge to assess any "dangers". Likely, they are unaware of their professional friends who use it.
There are many upstanding citizens among us who smoke pot. Some of these professionals and others with families and kids probably have a better chance of sheltering and deterring their own kids from reckless adult activities than those who are talking from inexperience.
There is a rumor floating around that a Prosecutor in these here parts has indulged in the presence of others. I think it should be required for the job frankly, but I'm not sure our Sheriff would or could approve.
It can be a very positive stress relief, and a tonic for elderly people and issues affecting them. I'm a personal witness to see this.
We all know that alcohol and pot is not good for anyone under 21, nor is it (pot) legal anywhere for those under 21.
Reality might be to ignore harmless use if no other issue involved such as an accident or other.
To ignore it might stop some criminal records for kids who are possibly going to experiment and need some maturing without legal impact. Might save law enforcement, and courts a lot of money and time to concentrate on serious issues.
Type of employment can often make pot smoking dishonorable or unfeasible, laws or no laws.
