Maybe that's how he's financing his next campaign.
Why did the prosecutor seek an out of town lawyer to do this?
Keep digging. I heard all the sheriff departments and police officers in the area got pulled in to investigate Acapulco's looking for something more than tax evasion.
How do you pay for all those hours? Well they are already paid for by their county's taxpayers.
Forfeiture money is to reimburse the county's for those hours. BUT WHERE DOES THAT MONEY REALLY GO? DOES IT JUST MOVE THE FUNDING AROUND SO THE POLICE AND SHERIFF DEPTS CAN PAY FOR SOMETHING ELSE without having to seek permission from Council?
I don't recall getting a tax rebate for these forfeitures, do you?
