The libertarian ideology is very romantic. However, this "free market", "let everyone be free to do their own thing" message is leading us to corporate fascism. It's a simple message driven by money. And billionaires are exploiting this message to get far right ideologues into state legislatures to reduce the cost of business on the backs of the working class. Right to work???!!! Pure propaganda. It has nothing to do with a worker's rights and everything to do with cheap labor costs. But we continue to dog ourselves by thinking smaller government is the way to go. When we privatize EVERYTHING, we are giving all of our revenue potential to gigantic corporations who will reinvest wherever the greed takes them. (It has recently been China) We are creating a middleman who skims off the top, wants lower and lower tax rates, no regulation and little to no labor laws. Eventually they control all politicians because as corporations they are the "job creators" and the only way families can eat is to be slaves working for minimum wage. (which I'm sure they also want done away with) "We the People" seem to be arguing for a reduction in our own voice. Sure our government needs to be more efficient; it always will. And in a country of 330 million people there is going to be waste. There is going to be fraud and abuse. But we cannot let that be an excuse to hand over control of our country to CEOs and boards of directors who buy politicians and spend billions in advertising to convince us that we need to be free of our government. And voting in far right extremists, who's simple ideology will result in the rich getting even more rich and the working class getting more poor, is the worst thing we can do for our country.
