I am very well educated about the coroner position and the candidates and the information I have is completely different from what you have stated.

First, Callahan is the only Candidate that I have heard state that he wants to clean house and remove all the deputies that are currently in place. This is what started the uproar with his campaign. "running to bring a change to the office that has had the same group in position for multiple years. He is wanting to bring Respect, Integrity, and Professionalism to the office of coroner." This is a quote from this blog posted by his family. There are also similar quotes on his Facebook page stating he wants to bring change to the department.

He only approached some of the current deputies AFTER he found out that he was going to have a problem with the certification. He has publically stated that he asked the current coroner to stay on and the current coroner states that is a lie and that Mr. Callahan has not spoken to him at all.

He also publically stated that he has made death determinations as an EMT. When you educated yourself, did you find out if it is legal for an EMT to do that? What about moving bodies? Is that legal? May want to check out the laws and the laws that the candidate has broken when you EDUCATE yourself. Of course committing crimes and lying may be what YOU are looking for in a candidate.
