headline article from the Dearborn Country Register: Blogger sentenced to 5 years

Blogger Dan Brewington, 38, Cincinnati, was sentenced Monday, Oct. 24, to five years in jail by Special Judge Brian Hill. A Dearborn County superior court jury ruled Thursday, Oct. 6, Brewington went beyond the legal definition of free speech. The jury found him guilty on five out of six criminal counts against him. Brewington began blogging during a divorce proceeding. Over a period of several years Brewington created several websites and contributed to others concerning his problems with the courts. He was found guilty on three counts of intimidation, one of perjury before a Grand Jury and one of attempted obstruction of justice. The jury found him not guilty of revealing Grand Jury testimony. Brewington will receive credit for 231 days spent in jail in Indiana and Ohio and receive 231 days credit for good time days. He will spend his time in jail with the Indiana Department of Corrections.
