I don't bother to hide my IP address. I don't encrypt. The worst I have to say is right out here on only this one blog and some of what I have said has been unpopular. Some authorities read the blog. If they acknowledged complaints and responded appropriately, people would not resort to "outing" issues on the blog due to frustration with the approved channels. I consider that they may be legitimately too busy to respond to the public.
(I am grateful by the way for several positive things they have responded to resulting promptly from comments on this blog).
I am concerned of temptation for the DC leaders to feel encouraged by this Brewington verdict in escalating their efforts to stamp out those who are critical of them, or critical of instances of perceived Govt. failures or misconduct.
Defamation, verbal insults and "threats" with no actual time, place or tangible event now appear to be fair game to be pursued vigorously in our local criminal court. Common sense tells me this is an alarming trend.
Perhaps in this one and only instance, it may have been necessary to take some sort of action, but the methods used and results do not appear above scrutiny.
