So sorry to hear of your loss. For people who say losing a pet is NOT like losing a member of your family, well those people have either not owned a pet or else just have no feelings. When we lost our cat a few yrs back I had no idea how hard it would be.
And for this to happen on or near your birthday is totally not fair. Hope your son does okay with the news. My heart goes out to him.

I am so sorry to hear about Splash. It is very heartbreaking to lose a pet when they are a big part of your family. It is going to be hard on Austin cause from the pics, they looked like the best of buddies. My heart goes out to you and your family during this sad time. To anyone who says losing a pet is nothing like losing a family member....they have never been a true pet owner or lover of their pets because your doggie was a member of your family. I know my kitties are a big part of my family.
Also Beckie I hope you have a Happy Birthday.......
