Well, I'm with Doris on this one. I would not mind more info on Alina's life in Ireland as it helps unfold the story, but knowing that it is an unhappy ending, I don't think I would want an entire book on that. I am bummed enough right now . . . my husband and I always go to a movie on New Year's Eve (a friend of mine's husband refers to New Year's Eve as "amateur night" . . . all those people who normally don't go out are out there drinking too much and driving badly . . . we stay AWAY from that!) Anyway, my husband wanted to see that Mel Gibson directed flick "Apocalypto". It was interesting, but way over the top violent and gory. I thought I would have to leave at one point. It wore me out!
