Subject: Alina

Does anyone besides me hope that KMM will give us Alina's story? Wouldn't it be great to read about her arrival in Dublin how she met Darroc why she got involved looking for Dark book and how she finally realized she had been betrayed it would be an awesome book.

I would think at the very least we would learn parts of the story as Mac uncovers more info. Also there is Alina's missing journal, which if recovered would tell the story from her point of view. Who has that journal anway??? Darroc? A rhino boy with a love of reading or Barrons?

I'm one of those people who are disinclined to keep reading after she already knows that ending is going to be bad, I have this feeling that if I just stop reading at a point when everything is good then maybe (just maybe) the character won't ever reach that really bad part. And the end of Alina's story is a really, really bad part. Well, I'm with Doris on this one. I would not mind more info on Alina's life in Ireland as it helps unfold the story, but knowing that it is an unhappy ending, I don't think I would want an entire book on that. I am bummed enough right now . . . my husband and I always go to a movie on New Year's Eve (a friend of mine's husband refers to New Year's Eve as "amateur night" . . . all those people who normally don't go out are out there drinking too much and driving badly . . . we stay AWAY from that!) Anyway, my husband wanted to see that Mel Gibson directed flick "Apocalypto". It was interesting, but way over the top violent and gory. I thought I would have to leave at one point. It wore me out!

I am in agreement, I think a whole book would be wrong as she is already dead, but I do hope that Karen gives us some insight into her life those last few months she had. -- Terri, 09:23:38 01/01/07 Mon [1]
