I am curious to know if there are male Sidhe- seers because when they are discussed they are always referred to as female. So if they are only female then JB can't be a Sidhe-seer but he is as far as I am concerned he is something otherworldly and he does seem to be in the way he acts and speaks old in the same way as Adam seems old.

[> Mary, I've read all of Karen's books many, many times and have never heard of a female sidhe-seer. They've always been described as just "female." Part of me thinks the first sidhe-seers came from a fae parent years ago. Maybe that's why they are immune to the fae glamor and etc...?? (just guessing) I too am goriously confused by what Jericho is, but he has a long way to go before I put him in Adam's class....LOL -- April, 10:04:05 01/07/07 Sun [1]

The more minutious KMM readers might want to correct me but I do believe the sidhe-seers were gifted with the sight from the Fae themselves. I do recall reading that somewhere. Way before the compact and then they were hunted down. After the compact they were no longer killed but brought to the fae realms to live out their lives in luxurious captivity. I have never heard of a male sidhe-seer either but nothing is impossible in KMM's books.

[> This could be considered a tangent: but if you read myths about the Fae (esp. Ireland) there are those who take a potion or have a magical something-or-other fall into their eyes and can then see the Fae. These people aren't born with the power, but acquire it (and the power may be taken away if the Fae ever discover it). Ergo, JB may not be born with the power of a sidhe-seer, but he could have come upon a way to give him the power to see the Fae sans glamour ... and if he turns out to be a sorcerer this could be a legit argument. -- Annaline, 15:57:59 01/07/07 Sun [1]
