Author: 6 months?
Subject: there's an interesting debate on voy 60473 about when the 6 month transfer ban begins & ends for a dancer. The rule says a TC cannot enter a dancer for a comp (not that a dancer cannot compete) until 6months have elapsed from the date the Regional council receives notice that you have moved. In theory this means that if the entry cut-off date is within this period (AI's, GBs or BNs for example) you cannot be entered, even though the comp takes place after 6 months. Depends on how the rule is implemented I suppose.

[> On a similar note has anyone else considered that because the Southern Regionals are very early this year, any dancer that transferred in the SR after the Worlds (which is usually when it happens) is banned to a date well beyond the Regional Oireachtas, so is effectively also banned from next years Worlds, even if they medalled this year. Surely not the purpose of the rule? I don't know if this actually affects any dancers but it was -- something to consider, Sun, Apr 29 2007, 23:43:22 [1]
