Subject: 7x3 rush for the inmates Mon-Fri
Author: Shithead [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 06:50:01 08/26/13 Mon I for one haven't forgotten the terrible staff assault in P1. After this incident Staff was told that we would slow it down (Safety first for the officers). We risk our lives every day. How fast some have forgotten this or don't care. For the last few months its full speed ahead, and lets make sure that the inmates get plenty of outer cell time at the cost of officer saftey. It is an embarrassment, and those responsible should be ashamed of themselves. You know who you are! |

Date Posted: 16:54:11 10/09/11 Sun Stopping Correctional Worker Suicide By Caterina Spinaris Tudor , Ph.D. Published: 03/08/2010 The corrections field is plagued with the scourge of staff suicide. Recent statistics from New Jersey show that corrections officers commit suicide at over double the rates of police officers and the general population. From 2003 through 2007, for males ages 25-64, per 100,000 the suicide rate for C.O.s was 34.8, for police 15.1, and for the general population 14.0. (NJ Police Suicide Task Force Rpt.pdf). These are startling numbers. What might they be due to? Corrections workers have to deal with whatever we all face—financial, family and personal issues. On top of that they are regularly exposed to the darkest of the dark of the human condition—violence, horrific crimes, mental illness, suffering, investigations and jaded coworkers. Life is very cheap behind the walls, perhaps making one’s own death a more acceptable option to some. Here are some grim examples of recent correctional workers’ suicides, including a gruesome murder-suicide. On 8/4/09, Essex County, NJ, Corrections Officer Kelley McKenith wounded her boyfriend and then shot and killed her 4-month-old baby before taking her own life. After leaving the Union County Jail, NJ, at lunch hour on 9/2/09, Frank Congiusta, a 16-year veteran Corrections Officer fatally shot himself with a handgun inside his vehicle parked just down the street from the jail. Of course the same pattern exists in other states. On 1/25/10 a 6-year North Carolina Correctional Officer on perimeter patrol at the Pasquotank Correctional Institution, a high security prison for adult men at Elizabeth City, used her service revolver to kill herself on the job. Correctional worker suicide is not limited to the U.S. In the Gauteng region of South Africa in 2009 alone FOURTEEN (14) Corrections Officers died by suicide! What can we do to stem this suicide epidemic among corrections personnel? |

Subject: Employee Notice!
Author: Your Bosses [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 11:22:51 08/08/11 Mon Employee Notice! Due to the current financial situation caused by the slowdown in the economy, Congress has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 50 years of age and above on early, mandatory retirement, thus creating jobs and reducing unemployment. This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early). Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to Congress to be considered for the SHAFT program (Special Help After Forced Termination). Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (System Covering Retired-Early Workers). A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as Congress deems appropriate. Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependents & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance). Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by Congress. Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SHIT (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. Congress has always prided themselves on the amount of SHIT they give our citizens. Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT, please bring this to the attention of your Congressman, who has been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle. Sincerely, The Committee for Economic Value of Individual Lives (E.V.I.L.) PS - Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, the Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.. |

Subject: Do not hold cuffs by their chain
Author: from www.Cointel.net or www.americanco.info [ Edit | View ] |
Date Posted: 10:42:33 07/05/11 Tue FYI - these photos illustrate the safety issue extremely well. When holding an inmate who is handcuffed do NOT hold the inmate by the handcuff chain. Basically the suspect just has to fold one hand on top of the other, trapping the officer’s hand easily breaking the hand or fingers. Once the hand is trapped, it is easy to spin and break the elbow (like our old weapon retention drill) and then attack the knee and groin area of the officer |
