Date Posted: 10/06/08 10:17pm I am wondering if you can help me or advise me where is should contact. My grandfather Captain Arthur Frederick Newman went down with his ship the Day Rose in 1942. they were torpedoed by U_Boat 552. I have in the last 4 years lost my parents and on going through their effects have found a few bits my father kept of his dads. One of the items is a led lined No cb415 war instructions for british merchant ships August 1917. Rather than just keeping it in a box until such time when my children will be going thorough my effect and just throwing it out, is there some where where it might be of interest eg a museum. I also have some charts on the S African coast which were printed befor the war began. Thank you for your time Regards Alison Cotter [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
