hi sid cant help you with your quest back in 1961 but i dont know wether you have read my post before regarding T@J; Harrisons of london mv harmattens sad demise.it was boxing day 26th dec 1971 we where tied up in karatchi caught up in the india/pakistan war.i was abourd anchor donaldsons m.v. eucadia. when she was towed into port along side us.she had been holed in the forepart by a stray missile from a pakistani gunboat.she was in a bad state will never forget the mess forepart burned out derricks and superstructure forward of the forepart blown to pieces.we never met any of her crew that survived.but was told the skipper the cook and a few ratings mostly irish seamen had sadly been killed.interestingly on my return nearly 12 months later to the uk after my leave i returned to the pool mann island liverpool and made many enquiries.i was amazed the shipping agents/the seamans union/knowbody could enlighten me any more they all seemed oblivious as to what i had witnessed.a few years later i read an article which supported what we had been told in an edition of a sea breeze magazine.apparentely the pakistani government sent an official apology to the british government of the time.it was a very sad day indeed and that ship and its lost crew will always remain in my thoughts and prayers regards sid terry{scouse}.
