Date Posted: 2/04/08 6:48pm My greatuncle Henry Gumbleton drowned at Dundee in 1951 having just completed a tour of duty on what he called the "Charles M". We have a letter which he had sent to the family that very day.I would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction to find information on him. Has anyone heard of the Charles M or know anything about it? where can I get his service record? His brother Danny Gumbleton was also in the Merchant Navy for many years. Many thanks for any advice.
