Date Posted: 13/03/08 3:11am A couple of years ago when I was a young lad I spent many summer holidays in the Sunderland area and recall going to Whitby for the day. It was there I was told the story of Grace Darling and the lifeboats. Are they still operating today, of have they been replaced with something else?
