G'day Eddie, saw the comment nad could not sit back. The South African you speak of is a good friend of mine, so he may not have been at sea for as long as some, but he served in the British Merchant Navy and that is what this site is about. Be it recipies or cures for gout it matters not. There is a section named general forum, and thta is whta it is for, general comments. When you were at sea I am sure that like the rest of us you talked on many subjects. happy daze john in oz
