Keep it true - Its what its all about, we depend on you guy's. Thanks.

A new body known as the friends of Merthyr Dyfan Cymetery, Barry or Cyfeillion Mynwent Merthyr Dyfan of my home town of Barry, South Wales, have published two brochures regarding 34 Servicemen from the Great War and 14 Commonwealth War Graves dedicated to the Merchant Navy in the Second World War.

As recorded RE:(WW2 MN) not a high number for a town that lost more Merchant Seamen proportionately than any other port, The reasons are simple, most died at sea, victims to drowning, exposure and enemy fire etc.

Although much information has been found and recorded, I was drawn to the entry for Andrew Albert John Hunter: Grave K409. (SS. Tyndall) "We are unable to trace any information on Andrew or of the SS. Tyndall" This mention makes me personally intrigued and wanting to record more of this man's history / life or a simple tribute to another of the fallen, one of the many still not "Home from the Sea".

Thank you Ray and Raymond and a few other sources that have been in contact for every assistance and aid given. I will take up all leads and pass the info on to the said body, as with all and the many, we attempt to "Remember Them". LEST WE FORGET. Again every "THANK YOU" SENT AND MEANT. Regards, Keith Greenway,

2Thanks are extended and any FURTHER ASSISTANCE WELCOMED. HE LIKE THE MANY SHOULD BE REMEMBERED. NOT PERSONALLY KNOWN TO ME, BUT IN MY THOUGHTS. "NOS DA Andrew Albert John Hunter" Any further help to remember him and the many welcomed.
Thank you all.

Regards Keith.
