Date Posted: 27/01/08 10:16pm In reply to: Nicola 's message, "80th Birthday for Tony Dwyer" on 27/01/08 12:39am Hi Nicola I didn't sail with your dad but I too was a Radio Officer in the 1950's with Cunard, Chapman&Willan, Prince Line, Blue Star, Southern Steamships and I finally came ashore in 1957 after sailing on three Lamport&Holt ships (Lassell, Devis and Roscoe) in my final year.I too can read morse code as easily now as I did all those years ago. It's something you never forget! If your dad wants a natter about old times, give me a call. cheers tony cooke PS When I swallowed the anchor I worked in the wine cellar at Harrods of Knightsbridge for 18 months - you name it I drank it!!!
