Hi Nicola
I didn't sail with your dad but I too was a Radio Officer in the 1950's with Cunard, Chapman&Willan, Prince Line, Blue Star, Southern Steamships and I finally came ashore in 1957 after sailing on three Lamport&Holt ships (Lassell, Devis and Roscoe) in my final year.I too can read morse code as easily now as I did all those years ago. It's something you never forget! If your dad wants a natter about old times, give me a call.

PS When I swallowed the anchor I worked in the wine cellar at Harrods of Knightsbridge for 18 months - you name it I drank it!!!
