[> Subject: Thank you! I am subscribed to Pageants Live right now and they are having 3 live states tonight, so I probably won't be able to tune in. But I do hope that those who are not might consider tuning in.

[> Subject: After years of not great shows; the 75th was so much fun. Winner was a bit too plastic patty for my taste, but I hope she will serve the state well. Three of the top five aged out, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, making next year wide open.

[> [> Subject: That sounds very nice. I know some of the states are having anniversaries this year, and I am glad they are honoring their traditions. I do not know too much about the winner, do you think she can repeat the success Oregon had at Miss America last year?

[> [> [> Subject: Abigail was a giant surprise. In fact she was a giant surprise at state. Her walk & styling were atrocious: She had very little on her resume & a “gotta find a SII” which had no history. Her talent was strong. I believe the board (their 1st year) asked for something fresh. It truly was the board who won 4th runner up - it was a good amount of work. Sophia is the polar opposite: years in NAM, on stage performances, prepping for a career on Broadway, volunteers with American Cancer Society since she was 8. A mom who was Miss Oregon USA & Mrs Oregon America. She may be too 1.0 (sans swimsuit). If the board is allowed to do their job, we may see her in T10, not seeing her in T5.

[> [> [> [> Subject: Wow, I knew a little bit that Oregon seemed to have some things going on with their BOD, but it sounds like the issue might be very deep-ceded. I hate to hear that, I am guessing it is not the same BOD as the 90s years that ultimately gave Oregon their first MA. The good news is that it sounds like the new Miss Oregon is self-made and hopefully can shine on her own.

[> [> [> [> [> Subject: The new board (installed in 2021) is amazing. Took us from a group hurt by embezzelement (that 'wonderful 90-20's board') to a rock sold show with law school in kind scholarships for each girl and the use of a car for the titleholder. If MAO survives this year, and we get one or two vets to return - Oregon is back to being a contender

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: Oh my goodness, what happened? I did meet (years ago) a previous board member and she seemed decent. But that was only one person, and we know how quickly things can change. I am glad that you have a great new board, and it definitely sounds like they are very contestant-oriented. I am glad for the contestants. Were there any former Miss Oregons on that board?

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: It was announced by Oregon's DOJ, in 2019'ish, Mama Dana borrowed/embezzled/inappropriately used $150+K. She retired in 2017 and the board between then and 2020 was passible. Our current board is led by a former Miss O (top 5 at Miss A), to my knowledge the old board had no formers.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: What a horrible turn of events, especially if the DOJ was involved. Was she convicted? I know Mary Sullivan did something similar and I think is awaiting a court trial. It is abhorrent to fleece an already struggling scholarship organization.
