Happy Sunday everyone!

I thought we might pass some time by looking back over the years and listing your favorites from each state. We will do them 5 at a time (plus the District of Columbia). Here's my list:

Alabama-Jenny Jackson, Heather Whitestone, Alison McCreary, ANNA LAURA BRYAN, Meg McGuffin, Jessica Procter, Callie Walker

Alaska-Joslyn Tinker, Stephanie Wonchala, Malie Delgado, Courtney Schuman

Arizona-Stacy Peterson, Stacy Momeyer, Leean Hendrix, Lori Whiting, Kapri Rose, Laura Lawless, Nicole Turner, Kathryn Bulkley, Jennifer Sedler, Katelyn Niemiec, Isabel Ticlo

Arkansas-Paula Roach, Paula Montgomery, Brandi Rhodes, Amber Bennett, Alyse Eady, Sloane Roberts, Darynne Dahlem

California-Susan Anton, JANET CARR, Debbie Maffett, Jennifer Hanson, Rebekah Keller, RITA NG, Stephanie Baldwin, Nicole Lamarche, Veena Goel, Dustin Konzelman, Jacquelynne Fontaine, Melissa Chaty, Kristy Cavinder, CRYSTAL LEE, MARINA INSERRA, EILEEN KIM

LOL the last is not me just remembering every Miss CA. There have been so many great ones over the years. And there were some I really liked too like Jackie Geist but I had to go with my favorite of favorites.

Who are yours?

I just took a deep dive into Miss America 1999. I never really understood why Nicole Johnson won until I saw the interviews the "Pageant Heyday" channel posted. I was blown away. I was impressed by Miss Alaska's prelims in gown and swimsuit and was a bit shocked she did not make the top 5. the interview tapes that have been posted explain a lot of the reasons why the results sometime are not understandable to those not seeing them and just watching on TV.
