Good morning.

I start this day with a heavy heart and tears. Leanza Cornett, so full of life, passed away yesterday. It seems like only yesterday she became Miss America. It seems impossible that this beautiful bright light has gone out in this realm.

If someone lives their full life, I am saddened to lose someone but consider their passage as an end to a terrific journey. In this case, Leanza was just too young and I keep saying this, but it's true: so full of life. It's hard to believe she will no longer be here with us.

Life is short, we never know. If you would have told me just a few weeks ago that this was going to happen, I would have never believed you. There is also something that I wondered about. Maybe Leanza had a stroke which caused her to fall. It does happen to younger people. We may never know, it's none of our business what happened. But I had thought of that possibility or that she had some kind of medical issue.

I hope Leanza's last days before the accident were what she wanted them to be. Rest in peace, you touched so many lives on this earth. You changed the way that Miss America functioned-taking on a platform which wasn't popular to some. But nonetheless, your compassion was much greater than your broad shoulders to bear the unfounded criticism. It will always be remembered.

This one hurts.

Nice message. I really enjoyed reading your excellent writing. Don't let the vile people spamming your page discourage you from expressing your needed and well thought out points of view. One suggestion is to recruit somebody else you trust to check the page, and just delete the pervs.

Take Care
