I was CRAZY busy yesterday, but the events of 9/11 still resonate with me to this day. I wanted to put this as a remembrance of all the lives lost and the devastation caused by the terrorist attacks. 9/11 affected the MAO community. One of the pilots was the cousin of one of the MAO executive staff at the time. Also, the son of Miss America Sharon Ritchie was above the impact zone of the north tower and wasn't able to escape. It touches us all in many ways, directly or indirectly.

We are also a nation in crisis right now. Sadly, some of these problems are coming from within and not outside. I believe it is worse coming from inside because we were all united after 9/11. Some of the problems we are experiencing are caused by division. I encourage everyone to try and find common ground with people you may not agree with. I truly believe those who were lost that day and anyone who is no longer with us would tell us that life is short and it is best spent well lived.
