But as a father of someone who has competed in her pageants before, I see this feed as many people who experienced and feel the same way my family does. These posts are clearly coming from people who have either tried to confront Lovena or report her and were unsuccessful. I do agree that some of these posts can be refined to stray away from foul language, but I do believe that it is important to share with the community the actions and comments Lovena Hunter has made throughout her time in pageantry. Coming from our personal experience, Lovena targeted my daughter for her weight as well as well as shared many inappropriate comments about her personal life with her. My daughter has witnessed her be untruthful with money in regards to the pageant, and when my daughter confronted her on the matter she became short and ignored the question. My daughter has watched her steal, lie, and make fun of other girls as well as other directors within the pageant industry. One of the most disheartening things that my daughter shared with me and my wife was that she witnessed her trying to give certain girls competing in her pageant an upper hand and favorited certain girls. So much to the point that my daughter over heard her give side comments to the judges about certain girls. I was saddened to see the recent events happening at the current pageant she is running. When me and my family went to go watch her current pageant held in August, it was clear that she has not changed one bit over the years. The pageant was poorly put together and we never heard her once on stage recognize her titleholders for that year and only heard her talk about the amazing things she has done. At one point right before a crowning ceremony of someone with special needs she announced on stage "I want to get out of her so we are going to try to speed up this pageant". The pageant was 5 hours long. One of the most concerning things was her attire the night of the pageant, in which she wore a very tight and short dress on a high up stage which we found extremely inappropriate. I share this publicly with hopes that those of you who have experienced the same thing will go forward to the organization she currently runs with hopes that she will no longer be able be a part of pageantry and affect young women in such a negative manner.
