Emily Travis is competing at Miss Illinois USA. She was such a pleasure to watch in the Miss America Organization. She is beautiful, bright, and kind. I knew she would grow into a lovely young lady when she represented us as a teen. I only wish she had been able to represent our program in Atlantic City. I hope that the USA program gives her more respect and credit than the Illinois America program ever did. She deserved so much more recognition for what she brought to our stage. Sad to see her go, but wishing her great success. I hope she wins, she deserves it. -- ILLINOIS Pageants Board
