‪#ıauspol‬ The Iranian government is refusing to allow back into Iran between 6000 and 8000 of queue jumping Iranians who paid a people smuggler to come here by boat. These people were found to NOT be refugees by the Australian Immigration Dept. Guess where they are now allowed to settle? Australia. Labor have lost the plot and our borders are open to anyone who arrives from Indonesia by boat. Refugee or not makes no difference.

Airport bingle cause disputed:
- Mirroring a conversation regularly heard in car parks across the world, Jetstar and Virgin Australia had two versions of events from yesterday's prang at Melbourne Airport which caused an estimated $3 milion damage bill to two planes. A Jetstar statement said its aircraft was stationary when the collision occurred. Virgin initially reported that both planes were moving but stressed it was still investigating.

Woman gets $1 million after nightclub blinding:
- A Melbourne woman who was blinded in one eye after a tragic incident at a prominent CBD bar has been awarded $1 million by a County Court jury. Louisa Herrod, 24, was dancing at The Carlton Hotel in September 2010, when a stick protruding from an artificial pot plant pierced her left eye. The fine arts student lost all vision in the eye and suffered serious psychological damage from the incident.

Young star likely to fill Labor's Hotham vacancy:
- Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has defended his decision to force the resignations of two controversial Labor candidates, saying he wanted to forge a positive politics that is "respectful of people, including their gender". Labor appears to be moving quickly to fill the vacated position in Hotham with Clare O'Neil, who at 23 became the youngest female mayor in Australian history, emerging as a contender.

- The company behind Thankyou Water, a product that has just won its way onto the shelves of Coles and Woolworths, has not disclosed to consumers that it gives up to 30 per cent of its profits to an evangelist group that proselytises in developing countries.

- Air New Zealand has forced a sacked flight attendant to hand over copies of her Facebook pages and bank accounts to show what she was doing when she claimed sick leave.

The Liberal Party has become aware that someone last night began buying Fake Twitter followers for Tony Abbott's Twitter account. We are working with Twitter now to remove the fake accounts and investigate who was behind this. The Liberal Party has not purchased or artificially sought to inflate any social media numbers.

G'day,

I just wanted to write to you all to say a big thank you to all the supporters who came out in their thousands for our first big National Field Day Event yesterday....

I had the pleasure of spending time in Queanbeyan, where about 30 volunteers for Mike Kelly and Labor in the marginal seat of Eden-Monaro came back from a morning's door-knocking and were getting ready for a community forum on the NBN.

I hope you know how much your support means for the future of Australia, and that you’re part of something really special. Record numbers of Australians are banding together and pouring their hearts, time, donations and talents into this campaign – and what you've achieved already in week one is just incredible. You can support Kevin in tonight’s debate, by jumping on Twitter or Facebook (‪#ıdebate‬). It kicks off at 6:30pm. After all these years I know he doesn't get too nervous about these things, but he definitely appreciates all your encouragement.
