I was just fishing around at ebay and stumbled across the one and same casting sheet for this title ("First In War") when I was trying to learn what production C-8 was from your wonderful and helpful site. I also see, Dave, that you have the same casting sheet posted, probably from the same source. But what grabbed my attention in its list of actors is the name of "TURPIN" and, surely old cross-eyed Ben. But it looks like he never made the 'cut' afterall. How I would have loved it if he did. Will have to look at my old notes to see what else Turpin could have been doing to maybe prevent him from appearing in this one (maybe his asking wage).
