Using the term "African American" was just trying to be polite. I grew up with the term "colored" as polite language.

The "MERRELL STRONG" that ANONYMOUS submitted for the HoF Page is incorrect unless you have the wrong photo of "MERRILL STRONG". I followed the Ancestry.com links submitted and with a little more "digging", found that this man was "black" and a veteran of the Korean War.

At the present time, I'm working on a "FRANK MERRILL STRONG" who was born in Utah in 1930; moved with his widowed mother and siblings to CA in 1933; died in CA in 2015. So far I have not been able to link him to the movie industry.
