Take it easy. Coach Foley is doing a good job this year, given all the key players we've lost to graduation. We've lost one game in OT and 2 others by 1 point. We are right there in every game and could be 8-2 right now with a few more breaks. We will be back in the title hunt next season. Ed Foley is a good coach and is an excellent recruiter. In general I agree with you Maroon, but as I sat there I couldn't believe the call. His Mom was sitting in front of me and I said the next 4 plays should be Prydatko, Prydatko, Prydatko and Prydatko. Not the time or place to get clever. But give'em credit. Fought hard, never quit and had a chance to tie at the end. They've shown me something the last two weeks and I echo Maroon in predicting good things ahead. Let's all get off this board and into the stands for Colgate. Whether the play calling was correct or not is irrelevant. The coach wasn't the one who threw the INT. Daniels is a great athlete and will be teriffic but he makes a couple of mistakes every game and this one was very costly. (NT) bfg 21:15:01 11/13/04 Sat

Great point. Every play called can result in something good. If one person beats the man in front of them. Although this is a team game each play comes down to single players beating the person in front of them. I'm sure that play action pass could have been a good play. I'm not going to second guess the play calling, but this team does tend to make some costly mistakes. This was another game we could have won. We could be 9-1 or 8-2. But the very fact that we tend to make costly mistakes over and over leads me to believe our record is what we deserve. I heard Coach Foley in the post-game interview, and he took the responsibility for not preparing the team enough mentally to avoid these mistakes. We are going to be fine. We are in good shape to beat Colgate and finish with a winning record. Five years ago we would have been thrilled to be 4 plays away from 8-1. Let's keep it in perspective. We lost the best QB, RB and WR in the storied history of this institution. I have never seen a coach miss a tackle, throw a pick, fumble or go offsides on the goal-line. Is this team undisciplined? As you can see my post was written in heat with the game not even over yet and all credit to the team for coming back so dramatically yet again. I am pro-Foley and have been from the git go, however, I also heard the post-game interview in which he said Danilels is not a rookie anymore and has to make those plays. Sorry, that does not excuse what to me was an absolutely stupid call at any level. Knowing Daniels and OL's propensity for mistakes inside the 5 ( see Brown) why take a higher degree risk ?
