I hope that I am wrong but I would be amazed if the decision re. fball is anything but remaining in the PL. Also expect some words, but likely not actions, that we will strive to be a top "50" (or pick a lower number) bball program. IMHO any substantive improvement to sports, excluding the present remodeling, was doomed with the announcement re. the huge expansion at Lincoln Center. -- FORDHAM RAMS FOOTBALL FORUM

If that ends up being the case, then our stated goal would not be matched by an appropriate action. In this case, if we want to be a Top 40-50 basketball program, we will have to build a convocations center. Alums and students need to make their position known on this to Fr. McShane and the Board. I disagree slightly. St. Joe's is consistently around the top 40-50 schools yet they lack a good on campus facility. We need a new convocations facility for a wide variety of reasons.
