As I stated on the PL board, in 2006 the A-10 football will effectively end and the CAA will be a 12 team league with most, if not all of the former A-10 schools. Whatever dreams some Fordham fans may have had to go to the A-10 are over and the CAA is mostly southern, public schools where Fordham would not really fit in...even when the A-10 absorbtion brings in a lot of eastern schools. Forget the CAA as they already have a full compliment of 12 scholie schools waiting. I don't see Fordham leaving the PL now that the A-10 on the verge of collapse. The answer is to beef-up the PL so it becomes attractive to schools on the bubble, deciding where to go. While the PL is non-scholie, if ALL the member schools vote for it, the charter can change.

I'm with you. One thing - please type all of your stuff into the "Message Subject" line so we don't have to go into every post to see what's been posted. I did the same and received similar guidance when I first posted here, so I figured I'd pass it along. Good points, imo. (NT)Ramalamadingdong10:55:03 03/09/05 Wed

The Patriot League will never go scholarship. It's a moot point. Already discussed by the Presidents and rejected. A recent quote from a Patriot League official: "You will not see scholarships in the PL in our lifetime". And the CAA Football Conference will not be a "southern" conference. As a matter of fact, most of the schools will be north of Wash. DC. The dreams of Fordham fans of joining the CAA Football League are far from over. I predict that within 3 years we join the CAA in football and Holy Cross joins us there. (NT)Rambacker14:02:23 03/09/05 Wed
