Subject: Good stuff. Not sure how much some of this stuff would cost or where the money would come from, but as long as we're wishing I'll throw out there to put even more than just modest bleachers on the visitors side of the football field. Also, given that the "stadium" is one of the first things you see as you enter campus, I'd love to see it be done well ... something in line with how the other buildings on campus look. Again, just a wish list.

Jack Coffey,a Fordham graduate, played 110 games in the Major Leagues in 1909 and 1918. He played and managed in the minors and came back to Fordham as head baseball coach in 1922. He continued in that post for more than 30 years. See http://www.1918redsox.com/players/coffey.htm (NT)STL_RAM6616:03:19 02/23/05 Wed

Coffey was also the Athletic Director at Fordham. Although I'm not sure of the exact years for his tenure, I know he presided over the Athletic Department during the great football period at Fordham during the 1930's and 1940's. (NT)JoltinJoe22:10:14 02/23/05 Wed
