All Ivies and A-10 teams have been approached and have rejected scheduling us. 3 seniors have applied for an extra year to the NCAA- believe Eddie Gordon and Conroy. Sorry I forget the 3rd but all very good players for us. (NT)whm09:51:26 02/17/05 Thu

Coach Foley said 3 players are applying to league for a 5th year of eligibility due to medical problems during their career (missed games or season).. He said pretty good chance of all 3 return.. Conroy, Gordon and Haynes (NT)#9110:01:17 02/17/05 Thu

So how'd the recruits look? (NT)CA Ram12:41:36 02/17/05 Thu

Targeted areas going into recruiting season were O-line, DB and WR. Targeted 27 and nabbed 23. Opening clips were of O-lineman, all OTs. Kids were rangy and Coach felt that they each could top out at 310-315 lbs. One kid in particular Sarabaez is Prepping this year so he should be a little further along from a maturity perspective and may contribute sooner than the others. He also showed good footwork for a big guy. The safeties are tall and can hit and the one CB (sorry, forget his name) had offers from Northern Illinois and one other fairly big program. Coach Foley reported 27 recruits came to the campus and 23 committed -- amazing ratio. The players and their parents each met with Father McShane, the Deans of the schools in which they were interested and Frank McLaughlin. The universal response to the question as to why choose Fordham was that the current players were so pleased with Fordham and NYC and were optimistic about the coming season that it was contagious.
